Auger Raffle Coincidence
A boy was enlisted from the crowd at THE INN to draw a winning ticket for the Jiffy Ice Drill. Coincidentally he drew his dad's name and made Paul Foster of Northville one happy guy. Paul has fished with us and supported us with raffle ticket purchases every year, so we all say,
"Congratulations Paul"
We want to thank the 297 participants in our 26 JAN 08 ice fishing contest, on Lake Pleasant, for their generosity and sporstmanship. With the exception of walleye, all places were filled.

6th Annual Piseco Lake
Ice Fishing Tournament
March 1st, 2008
$2000 in prize payouts, plus door prizes, and a great buffet were enjoyed by the 135 registered men, women, and children.
Bill Hotaling of Piseco,NY was the top winner of $500 for a 23 5/8" lake trout.
Jean Davis of Ilion entered her prize winning salmon at 20 1/4".
Bill Rumrill from Stratford had the best perch at 12.5".
Most people caught lake trout just under the keeper limit of 21". It's gonna be great fishing there in a couple of years; let's keep trying. We enjoyed putting on the tournament, but came up shy of our fund-raising goals. We may have to restructure the payouts next year. The Club appreciates the support and participation of everyone and extends a big thank you to volunteer chief cook Laura Morehouse and her helpers: Chuck Morehouse, Rene Knox, James Knox,Tammy,Amber,Rachel, and Jeremy Monthany. The homestlye cooking in the buffet was delicious.
And the Members thank John Casey for being the Tournament Chairman.
